Jayne isn't going to expect two dozen roses and a confession of your eternal love. If anyone understands that you're still taking baby steps on this, it's her. I doubt she's going to make you a full Dragonsdamned meal with all of the trimmings, either. And even if she does, it'll be because she wanted to, not because she was expecting you to somehow make it up to her. That isn't what she feels for you, is that you owe her something.
